The script was good and dramatis personae even better. But the curtain was finally drawn yesterday and Nondesctipts did not get to make the final list of cast to appear in the semi-final show. It was Ulinzi who exhibited great character to manourver out of financial and logistical problems to book a place in the semis. They failed to play their opening match against Nondies at Jamhuri thus losing four valuable points in the event of a probable win. They were determined yesterday to win at least with a bonus five points and prayed hard for a Nondies loss. They were answered. Great runs which Captain Brian Malenya said were most probably of ?.......too much touch rugby?, when we enquired, saying they lacked tackle bags among essential kit. This time touch worked. They join Impala, KCB and face Quins in the first semi-final.

?You ain?t seen nothing like the mighty Quins!?
The chorus must have sounded quite charismatic for a quin, with the RFUEA grounds crammed up with the most opinionated, prejudiced and loyal fans in Impala cohorts and Harlequins assemblage. They sat subsequently with the steel terrace separating them but the slim zealous line of demarcation more clear and visible with every touch of the ball. With the throats well oiled and the wittiest of fanatics put on grounds conspicuous to attract the loudest laughs with every slur, the game kicked off to a Quins surprise

The Kenya Cup contention resumes this weekend after a two week sevens and Tens interlude. Ngong Road derby has unbeaten Impala picking a nasty date with sturdy Kenya Harlequins. Anticipation rides high especially with KCB facing off with Nondescripts. Quins who lost to Ulinzi will be hoping to beat Impala and top the standings. The four top teams qualify for the semis. Impala, Quins, KCB, Nondies.
